Richard B. Robbins, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN serving patients at Roswell ObGyn, LLC, with offices in Canton, Alpharetta, and Atlanta, Georgia.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Robbins came to Atlanta in 1976 to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he graduated with highest honors in chemical engineering, was a 4-year starter on the baseball team, was a member of ANAK, and was the 1980 graduate of the year. He earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, then stayed at Emory to complete his residency, finishing as chief resident in 1988.
Dr. Robbins has been a member of Roswell ObGyn, LLC since July 1988 and has been certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) since 1990. He is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
In obstetrics, Dr. Robbins works in the office to help his group manage high- and low-risk obstetrical patients. Previously, he was active in medical staff leadership, serving as chairman of the NSH Department of OB/GYN, chairman of the NSH Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, member of the NSH Medical Executive Committee, and most recently heading up the NSH JCAHO Obstetrics Disease Specific High-Risk Certification group.
Today, Dr. Robbins works at Roswell ObGyn, LLC focusing on office logistics and electronic medical record issues. He continues to provide OB/GYN services, like surgery and scheduled cesarean deliveries.
Dr. Robbins is married to his college sweetheart, and they have three adult children.
